Friends of NTA Designs

Since 2020, I’ve served on the board of Friends of NTA, a nonprofit raising money to support National Teachers Academy, a Chicago Public Schools’ elementary school. In the past, Friends of NTA (FoNTA) had relied on a variety of volunteer parent designers when they needed promotional materials, which led to a somewhat ragtag feel.

I set to work unifying FoNTA’s visual identity, standardizing the look and brand voice for the organization. It was important that our materials had a welcoming, family-focused tone to welcome participation, while also presenting the organization as professional and trustworthy to encourage donors to give.

In addition to flyers and promotional graphics, I had the opportunity to create branding for fun events like FoNTA’s annual Valentine’s Day popcorn fundraiser, Black History Month-themed items, and branded merchandise for the organization’s online shop.
