Pet Owner Portraits

FACE Low Cost Animal Clinic is a nonprofit that provides veterinary care for low-income residents of Indianapolis, Indiana. For their 2025 year-end giving campaign, I was asked to illustrate some of the clinic’s real clients with their beloved pets. The campaign aimed to demonstrate the human-animal bond and make help donors connect with some of the real people their support would help.

The FACE staff had seen some recent portraits I’d posted on Instagram and asked for drawings in a similar style. These drawings were had a sketchy, imperfect feel that I’d been cultivating as an exercise at staying loose and not get too precious with my digital illustration, as well as an opportunity to lean into drawing likenesses (something that can be a little intimidating for me!).

The FACE images incorporated the organization’s brand colors—lavender purple, cornflower blue, and golden yellow. The finished illustrations were used in email campaigns, print letters, and social media assets during November and December 2025, helping FACE reach their fundraising goal.
